True union is perceived not as a storm of lust, but as a sweet touch where everything is lost. The fleeting game of the body is rejected; instead, a life-raft is set afloat on an infinite ocean. The beloved is not caged but liberated within the soul. Victory is not claimed, but a burning heart is surrendered. Finally, the self is forgotten, just as a river is consumed by the vast sea.

Hindu marriage (vivaha) is a sacred samskara uniting two souls in grihastha ashrama, pursuing dharma, artha, kama, and moksha together. Husband and wife form inseparable partners, each the greatest treasure for the other—the ultimate wealth in eternal oneness, sharing love, devotion, and support beyond material possessions. Weddings radiate communal joy through blessings, music, adornments, feasts, and rituals, expressing gratitude and strengthening ties. Thoughtful expressions enhance auspiciousness while preserving spiritual focus. Ancient texts celebrate this joy yet guide toward moderation, as true bliss arises from inner purity and devotion, not external grandeur. The Bhagavad Gita's balance teachings apply to celebrations: excess distracts from Agni vows, while restraint highlights spousal unity. Modern weddings blend tradition with happiness, but joy deepens when rooted in dharma and mutual belonging. Verses from Rig Veda's Sūryā Sukta and the Gita illuminate moderation sustaining this sacred treasure.

Why do I worry for dreams unknown,
Between hope and fear my thoughts collide,
Chasing tomorrows have yet to ride?

Why do I worry for seeds unsown,
Between the restless storm and spring tide,
Harvesting the crops yet to provide?

Why do I worry for deeds I own,
When all the unknowns will be my guide
And the seeds will root where oceans hide?

সাথী আমার বাঁধনহারা,
স্বাধীন পাখি,
নীল আকাশে মেলেছে ডানা,
হৃদয়হরা।
খোলা আঁচল, আগুন ঝরা,
রঙিন আঁখি;

নীরব ব্যাথা;

In heavens high where starlight weaves,
A tapestry of cosmic dreams,
Seven wonders glow, serene,
Their beauty vast, eternal, seen.

If there were splendor pure, divine,
If seven wonders crowned the skies,
You’d shine among them, radiant, rare,
A timeless light beyond compare.

Your laughter hums like comet’s song,
Your spirit soars where angels throng,
In every hue, your heart’s embrace,
Outshines the stars in boundless space.

Dowry, once voluntary stridhana for the bride's security, has evolved into coercive demands that commodify women and perpetuate patriarchal inequality in India. Banned under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, it persists through disguised "gifts," fueling harassment, violence, and deaths. NCRB 2023 data reports 15,489 cases under the Act (14% rise) and 6,156 dowry deaths, with Uttar Pradesh and Bihar leading. Consequences include emotional/physical abuse, financial ruin, and female foeticide. Weak enforcement, low convictions (~20-30%), and social stigma hinder justice. Eradication demands girls' education, empowerment, awareness campaigns, stricter laws, and cultural shifts toward gender equality and dowry-free marriages based on mutual respect.

In an age of smartphones and social media, spirituality has found a new stage: the public square of likes, shares, and stories. What was once a private conversation between the soul and the divine has, for many, become a performance. Temples overflow not just with devotees but with cameras. Sacred rituals are live-streamed. Pious acts—once done in quiet corners—are now carefully framed, filtered, and posted for the world to see.

Women trafficking, often intertwined with human trafficking, is one of the most heinous violations of human dignity. It involves the recruitment, transportation, and exploitation of women—primarily for sexual exploitation, forced labor, domestic servitude, or forced marriage—through coercion, deception, or abduction. Women and girls constitute the majority of victims globally and in India, facing unimaginable physical, emotional, and psychological trauma.

In our fast-paced world, many of us feel pulled in opposite directions—chasing career success, family responsibilities, and material comforts on one side, while yearning for inner peace, meaning, and spiritual growth on the other. The quest for balance between worldly life and spirituality is timeless. Ancient wisdom, particularly from the Bhagavad Gita, teaches that these aren't opposing forces but can harmoniously coexist through disciplined action and detachment.
